Childcare, described exactly as it is
This is the page where we are careful. Childcare is the reason most people join, and it is also the thing where a website that oversells does real damage. So here is what the room is, who is in it, how many children we take, and what we will not do.

The arrangement
These are the numbers we work to. If a shift cannot meet them, the room stays closed that hour.

The room
One room of 46 m² beside reception, with a window onto the car park, a soft floor area, low shelves, a reading corner and its own toilet with a step and a small seat. It is not a Kita and it is not registered as one. It is a supervised room for a short stay while a parent is in the building.
There is no camera in the room. Parents may come in at any time. The door has a handle at adult height and a bolt at the top that children cannot reach, so nobody leaves on their own.
Who is in the room
Anke Röhl, a state-recognised educator, is head of childcare and sets the rules on this page. Petra Lindemann is a certified paediatric nurse. At least one of them is on every shift. Both hold an extended certificate of good conduct under § 30a BZRG and current paediatric first aid, refreshed every two years.

Rules
What we do, and what we do not
The list is short on purpose. Everything on it is a rule we actually keep.
We register your child at the desk each time and note the time in and the time out.
Only the adult who brought the child collects the child, unless you name someone else in writing that day.
We do not give medication, and we do not change nappies without asking you first.
If your child cries for more than about ten minutes, we come and get you. Every time.
Children with a fever, vomiting or diarrhoea in the last 48 hours cannot be taken in.
When the group is full at ten children, it is full — we will offer you another slot instead.
What we are not saying
We are not telling you your child will be happy here, or that nothing can happen in a room with ten small children in it. We are telling you how many adults are present, what they are trained in, how long a stay lasts, and when we will come and get you. Those are the things we can stand behind, and they are the things you can check on the day.
Booking a childcare place
Childcare places are booked with the class, in the timetable. Each hour shows how many of the ten places are free at that moment. If the hour you want is full, the timetable offers the waiting list — we call only when a place actually comes free, and never to sell you anything.
Your child's data
For a booking we take a first name and an age band, and nothing else. No date of birth, no photo, no height, no address for the child. A parent or guardian submits it — a child cannot book here. We keep it for eight weeks after the session, then delete it. Allergy or health notes are written on the group sheet for that hour and shredded at the end of the day.
Ask before you decide
Most parents want to see the room before they trust it. Come during opening hours and ask for Anke or Petra — no appointment, no tour booking, just the room as it is on a normal Tuesday.
