Terms and conditions
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The German version of this page is the legally binding text; in case of doubt the German wording applies.
§ 1 Scope
These terms apply to all memberships, course places, children's programmes and childcare places at Sportpark Lessing GmbH, Lessingstraße 24, 38304 Wolfenbüttel. Deviating terms of the member apply only if we have confirmed them in writing.
§ 2 Conclusion of contract
A membership contract is concluded exclusively on the premises, by signing the membership form at reception. Nothing on this website concludes a membership contract and nothing is sold through this website. A booking made in the timetable reserves a place in a class, a children's session or the childcare room for a single date; it is not a contract of sale and does not oblige you to take out a membership.
For a person under 18 the contract is signed by a parent or another person with parental responsibility, who must attend in person. We do not accept an application submitted by a minor alone.
§ 3 Prices and payment
The monthly fees are: Adult €39.90, Family 2+2 €79.00, Teen 12–17 €19.90, Kids gymnastics 4–7 €29.00. Each additional child on the family plan costs €14.90 a month. All prices include statutory VAT. There is no joining fee. Fees are collected monthly in advance by SEPA direct debit on the first working day of the month; the pre-notification period is shortened to one day.
If a direct debit is returned through no fault of ours, we may pass on the bank charges actually incurred. The member may prove that no loss or a substantially lower loss occurred.
§ 4 Term and termination
The minimum term is twelve months from the start date. After that the contract continues for an indefinite period and may be terminated by either party with four weeks notice to the end of a calendar month. Notice must be given in text form (letter or email); we confirm every termination in text form. The right to terminate for good cause remains unaffected.
A children's place runs for the school year and may be ended separately at the end of a month, without ending the adult membership it belongs to.
§ 5 Suspension
On presentation of a medical certificate the membership may be suspended free of charge for up to eight weeks per calendar year. The minimum term is extended by the period of suspension.
§ 6 Courses, bookings and cancellations
Course places are limited and are allocated in the order in which bookings are received. A booked place that is not needed should be cancelled at least three hours in advance so that it can be given to someone else. Where a booking covers both an adult class and a children's session or a childcare place, cancelling the booking cancels both parts.
We may cancel an individual course, for example because an instructor is ill. We announce this at reception and by email as early as possible. If more than three sessions of a booked children's programme are cancelled in a calendar quarter for reasons within our control, the monthly fee for that programme is reduced pro rata.
The timetable published on this website applies to the school term. A reduced timetable applies during the Lower Saxony school holidays and is displayed at reception four weeks in advance.
§ 7 Childcare
The childcare room is a supervised short-stay room for children from one year (walking) to five years, offered alongside a training visit. It is not a day-care facility and is not registered as one. A child may stay for up to two hours per visit, and the accompanying adult must remain inside the building and reachable throughout.
- No more than ten children are supervised at any one time. One member of staff is present for up to five children; a second joins from the sixth child.
- At least one state-recognised educator or certified paediatric nurse with current paediatric first aid is on every shift.
- A child is handed over only to the adult who brought the child, unless another person has been named by that adult in writing on the same day.
- We do not administer medication of any kind.
- Children showing signs of a fever or who have vomited or had diarrhoea within the previous 48 hours cannot be admitted.
- If the group has reached its limit, the place cannot be given. We will offer an alternative time; there is no entitlement to a place at a particular hour.
The accompanying adult must inform us before the first visit of any allergy, chronic condition or medication that would change what we do in an emergency. That information is written on the group sheet for the hour and destroyed at the end of the day.
§ 8 House rules and health
The house rules displayed on the premises form part of the contract. Members train on their own responsibility and confirm that no medical reason is known to them that speaks against training. Anyone under 15 trains only within a supervised children's programme; members aged 12 to 17 may use the training floor from 15:00 while a coach is present, after completing the four-week technique introduction.
§ 9 Liability
We are liable without limitation for injury to life, body or health, for intent and gross negligence, and under the Product Liability Act. In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for a breach of an essential contractual obligation, and then limited to the foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract. Liability for items brought onto the premises is limited to intent and gross negligence; lockers are available and valuables should be kept in them.
§ 10 Changes to these terms
We may change these terms with two months notice in text form. If the member objects in text form before the change takes effect, the contract continues on the previous terms until the next ordinary termination date. We will point this out in the notification.
§ 11 Final provisions
German law applies. Should any provision be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected. Version: 1 September 2026.
